You saved me a couple of thousand dollars. I broke a bolt off in my 5.7L hemi head. Then I broke off an easy out (aka screw extractor). If you ever tried drilling an easy out, then you know how hard they are. I tested the remnants of the easy out by laying it on aluminum and then welding. The weld held firmly to the easy but not the aluminum. I then filled the cavity in the head with a bead then built up a small bead as you say. Then welded the nut. It came out with little force as a result of the head applied in the welding. THANK YOU.

I have dismounted a Kia Sportage 2001 gearbox, and overall they look very similar. Ratio is different, output shaft too but I am sure that al that are interchangeable. I have to change all this yellow synchro ring.

1.8 with 5spd stick are your best options reliability wise as they have less known issues..

1:32,,,there is a you tube video where a guy shows how to drill a hole towards the middle hatch inside plastic,,has a little mark to drill a holw than you can slide something thin to do exaclty this to release the hatch,,,,
